b. How to import bank transactions
Note: You need to comply with the security policy and remember that the program doesn’t delete the file after uploading it. If the computer local disc isn’t secured, the fragile information may fall into the wrong hands.
Statement uploading
After file uploading, the program displays all bank statement positions on the screen.
Statement editing
While uploading a file, the program tries to find Suppliers and Customers by comparing companies bank account numbers with the bank accounts on the statement.
Additionally, the program tries to identify the document, which a given payment refers to (unless the function Search Invoice References Also for Unknown Bank Accounts is set Yes). You will find more information in the article Bank Transaction Import Match.
By clicking on the icon
, you can select/change:
- date
- Supplier/Customer
- document type
- settled document (ex. invoice) or account
- transaction description
In the box Transaction Type select one of the available types.
If the amount is negative (bank payment), the program allows users to select the following types:
- supplier payment – in that case, the program will allow to select a supplier and an amount
- return to customer
- other payment
If the amount is positive (bank deposit), the program allows users to select the following types:
- customer payment - in that case, the program will allow to select a customer and an amount
- return for supplier
- other deposit
After selecting all date, click on Update. The program will return to the list of statement positions.
Statement posting
After document editing, click on the button Data Import. The program will process the proper bookings on the basis of settings.

- the program will process one booking for each position on the bank statement. You can view the booking in Journal Inquiry as Bank Payment, Bank Deposit, Bank Transfer, Customer Payment and Supplier Payment. You can view statements in Bank Statement Inquiry.
