Bill of Materials (BOM)
Bill Of Materials (BOM) are the base for entering Work Orders in the Manufacturing module in the online accounting program mKsiegowa.pl. Lists can be entered and edited in the module Manufacturing → Bill Of Materials.
For which items can a Bill of Materials be created?
Bills of Materials are created for the items of a Product type. You need to create at least one item that is defined a Product.
BOM components can be of the type Purchased or Service.
How to create Bills of Materials
You can create a new Bill of Materials for the selected Product, or modify the existing one.
After selecting the BOM, in the tab Bill of Materials you can define:
- Component - any item selected as a component to manufacture
- Location to Draw From - from which inventory the materials for production are taken; for an entry of a Service type, the location selection does not matter (you can leave any)
- Work Centre Added - which Work Centre is involved
- Quantity - what quantity of goods or services is to be added / used in the work order
